The Gruffalo tickets in Brighton

Tall Stories brings their musical stage adaptation of The Gruffalo to Theatre Royal Brighton, following Mouse on a journey through the deep, dark wood to outwit Fox, Owl and Snake. Based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the show combines songs and live performance for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups.

What happens on stage

Mouse sets out through the deep, dark wood in search of hazelnuts and along the way encounters three hungry woodland creatures: a cunning Fox, an eccentric old Owl, and a high-spirited Snake. To avoid becoming anyone's dinner, Mouse spins tales of a fearsome imaginary monster called the Gruffalo. Tall Stories translates Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's rhyming picture book into a live musical format, weaving songs into the familiar story.
