Joe McFadden and Charlie Brooks star in The Curious Incident UK tour, ages 10 and up, running 2hrs 25mins. Book tickets today.
A brand-new staging of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time tours the UK, with Joe McFadden and Charlie Brooks advertised as Ed and Judy, Chris Boone's parents. The production runs two hours and twenty-five minutes and is recommended for ages ten and above.
Chris Boone has a sharp mathematical mind but finds the unpredictability of other people genuinely difficult to navigate. When a neighbour's dog is found dead, Chris falls under suspicion and sets out to clear her name, becoming investigator and suspect at the same time. The trail of clues leads somewhere far closer and more unsettling than the original crime, drawing Chris into truths about family, trust, and independence that demand real courage to face.
Joe McFadden, whose stage credits include The Shawshank Redemption UK Tour and 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Gielgud Theatre, is advertised as Ed. Charlie Brooks, known for EastEnders and stage work including Ocean at the End of the Lane at the National Theatre, is advertised as Judy.
The fuller ensemble listed for some venues includes Alex Keenan as Chris Boone and Imi Price as alternate Chris Boone, with Bridgette Amofah as Siobhan. Further company members play multiple roles: Alex Murdoch, Carla Garratt, Jerone Marsh Reid, Matthew Bulgo, Robert Penny, Sera Mustafa, and Tom Clegg.
The production is recommended for ages ten and above. It contains strong language, themes of death, family illness and loss, and depictions of emotional distress. Flashing lights and sound effects are used, which is relevant for anyone with photosensitive conditions.
At most venues, children under sixteen must be accompanied by an adult aged eighteen or over. Grand Opera House York has one British Sign Language Interpreted Performance; an interpreter is present for D/deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members, and no other changes are made to the performance for that show.
These are the dates listed by ATG as checked on 21 September 2026. A date range may contain selected performances, rather than a show every day. Open your chosen venue link for exact times, seats and current prices.
