Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is now one show. The reimagined one-part production began performances at the Palace Theatre on Friday 9 October 2026, telling the whole story in a single complete performance, and a new cast has stepped on to the stage to lead it. Booking currently runs to 27 June 2027: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets.

Who is in the new cast?
Ethan Rouse plays Albus Potter and Bill Stanley plays Scorpius Malfoy, the young friends at the heart of the story. Zoë Rainey is Ginny Potter, Hasia Akwaboah is Rose Granger-Weasley and Adam Jackson-Smith is Draco Malfoy. They are joined by three cast members who continue from the original staging: David Ricardo-Pearce as Harry Potter, Thomas Aldridge as Ron Weasley and Naana Agyei Ampadu as Hermione Granger.
The full cast also includes Dewayne Jameson Adams, David Annen, Jacqueline Beaumont, Jensen Bedford, Angeline Bell, Tatum Confrey, Robert Curtis, Nick Dennington, Shakhai Estwick, Miah Hasselbaink, Tim Hibberd, Becky Hoyle, Max Hutchinson, Danny Ivy, Emma Louise Jones, Laura June Ness, Louise Ludgate, Shreya Lallu, Nathan Muwowo, Jocelyn Prah, Claire Redcliffe, Ewan Rutherford, Joshua Talbot, Nathaniel Tan, Callum Tempest, Alex Tomkins, Jake Tuesley and Aidan Garrett Wilkins.
The whole story in a single evening
For a decade, London theatregoers saw the story across two parts. That original staging ended its ten-year run with a sold-out final performance on Sunday 20 September 2026, and the reimagined version began performances at the same theatre less than three weeks later. It now runs for about 2 hours 55 minutes, including an interval, so you no longer need to book two performances to see the whole play.
The story is set 19 years after the final book. A new generation arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, including Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy, the sons of Harry and Draco, while Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione deal with life as parents.

The creative team behind it
The play is by Jack Thorne, based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. Tiffany directs, with movement by Steven Hoggett, set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, and music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe.
Since its world premiere at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016, the production has been seen by more than 14 million people worldwide, including over 2.5 million in London. It won a record-breaking nine Olivier Awards, among them Best Director for Tiffany. We covered the plan to move to a single performance when it was announced: read our earlier report on the one-part change.

What age is the show suitable for?
The show is recommended for ages 8 and over. Children under 5 are not admitted, and anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
How long is it booking for?
Booking currently runs to 27 June 2027. The Palace Theatre is at 113 Shaftesbury Avenue, a short walk from Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road Underground stations.
