Art Garfunkel performs live at Opera House Manchester on his What a Wonderful World tour. Read the concert and ticket guide.
Art Garfunkel brings his world tour, Art Garfunkel in (What a) Wonderful World, to the Opera House Manchester. The original artist concert follows a rare return to the stage in Tel Aviv and features Garfunkel performing with his band.
This is an original artist concert, not a tribute act. The tour follows what is described as a historic return to live performance in Tel Aviv, making these dates a notable moment in his performing career. Garfunkel is joined by his band throughout the evening.
A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and eight-times Grammy Award winner, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, Garfunkel is also listed among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. As architect and lead singer of Simon and Garfunkel, he helped shape modern popular music with songs including Bridge Over Troubled Water, The Sound of Silence and Mrs. Robinson.
Beyond Simon and Garfunkel, Garfunkel has released a series of solo albums including Angel Clare, Breakaway and Watermark. Those records produced enduring recordings such as I Only Have Eyes for You, All I Know and Bright Eyes, the last of which reached number one internationally.
His creative work extends to film, with appearances in Catch-22, Carnal Knowledge and Bad Timing, and to writing, as both an author and a poet.
