Nigel Kennedy brings Virtuoso to UK stages for the first time in over fifteen years. The programme combines classical repertoire, jazz and contemporary influences, with Kennedy performing alongside Alec Dankworth on bass and Peter Adams on cello.
Bach features among the classical works on offer, alongside jazz-inflected material and Kennedy's own compositions. These include an arrangement of A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and original pieces honouring his mentors Yehudi Menuhin and Stéphane Grappelli. Dankworth and Adams complete the trio.

Oxford railway station is roughly a ten minute walk from the theatre. Check National Rail Enquiries for times before you travel.
There is no parking or dropping off on George Street without a permit. Coaches and minibuses need a permit to enter Oxford city centre, issued for specific performances; applications are made by calling 0845 634 4466.
The theatre does not have its own car park and parking in central Oxford is limited. A temporary £5 congestion charge has applied on some central roads near the theatre (7am to 7pm daily); check Oxford City Council for the current position before driving in. Oxford City Council and the Park and Ride websites are the best places to check current options before you set off.
