Rupert Everett sarà protagonista in tournée della pièce autobiografica di John Mortimer A Voyage Round My Father. Tournée di A Voyage Round My Father Il candidato ai BAFTA e ai Golden Globe Rupert Everett sarà protagonista dell’acclamata pièce autobiografica di John Mortimer A Voyage Round My Father, che debutterà al Theatre Royal Bath, con repliche dal 28 settembre, prima di intraprendere una tournée nel Regno Unito che toccherà Richmond,  Cambridge, Cardiff, Malvern, Chichester e Nottingham. Accanto a Rupert Everett in scena ci saranno Jack Bardoe, Eleanor David, Allegra Marland, Julian Wadham,  Heather Bleasdale, Zena Carswell, John Dougall, Calum Finlay e Richard Hodder, con Leoni Kibbey e Rob Pomfret. Cresciuto all’ombra di un avvocato brillante ed eccentrico, un uomo la cui conversazione all’ora del tè poteva spaziare tra music hall, adulteri, evoluzione, il ridicolo inconveniente del sesso, Shakespeare e l’importanza di evitare qualunque gesto eroico in tempo di guerra, il figlio anela continuamente all’amore e al rispetto del padre. Illuminando questo delicato rapporto tra un giovane e suo padre — che adorava il giardino e detestava le visite, e la cui cecità non veniva mai menzionata — A Voyage Round My Father ci presenta una galleria di personaggi indimenticabili e spesso esilaranti. John Mortimer è stato romanziere, drammaturgo e anche lui avvocato, noto per i suoi drammi politici e creatore di Rumpole of The Bailey. Tra i ruoli da protagonista di Rupert Everett figurano il film pluripremiato My Best Friend’s Wedding, The Importance of Being Earnest, An Ideal Husband, Dance With A Stranger e The Happy Prince.
