Michael Douglas: One Helluva Ride tickets in Swansea

Michael Douglas: One Helluva Ride is a live on-stage talk in which Michael Douglas, joined by a special guest host, gives a candid first-person account of his eight decades, covering his Hollywood career, personal struggles, and stories he says have never previously been shared in public.

What the evening involves

Douglas is joined by a special guest host to work through the story of his life: growing up overshadowed by his father's fame, being dismissed as a television actor, and then producing a film that won an Academy Award while he was still in his early thirties, along with behind-the-scenes anecdotes involving a wide range of well-known industry figures.

The material is described as uncensored and deeply personal. Douglas addresses the breakdown of his first marriage, affairs with fellow actresses, sustained struggles with alcohol and drugs and subsequent rehabilitation, his son's imprisonment as a result of addiction, and his own diagnosis and treatment of stage IV cancer. The tone is presented as raw and self-critical rather than celebratory.

What is included with a ticket

ATG states that every paid ticket includes a hardback copy of One Helluva Ride. The book is included with admission rather than listed as a separate optional purchase.

Audience considerations

The event carries a recommended age of 14 and above, at the discretion of a parent or guardian. The subject matter, covering addiction, infidelity, serious illness and candid personal disclosure, reflects genuinely adult content. No duration is listed in the available information, so prospective ticket-buyers may wish to check directly with the venue if travel or childcare arrangements depend on an end time.
