Spring 2026 brings one of the strongest lineups of new West End shows in years. From a one-woman Dracula starring Cynthia Erivo to the long-awaited London arrival of Beetlejuice, plus major revivals and star-led productions, here are the new openings worth booking for between February and May.

Dracula at the Noel Coward Theatre

Cynthia Erivo returns to the London stage for the first time in nearly a decade to play all 23 characters in Kip Williams' adaptation of Bram Stoker's gothic novel. This is the final part of Williams' gothic trilogy, following The Picture of Dorian Gray (which starred Sarah Snook) and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The production blends live performance with pre-recorded video in a style Williams calls "cine-theatre." It runs for a limited season until 30 May 2026.

Romeo and Juliet at the Harold Pinter Theatre

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink makes her West End debut alongside Hamnet's Noah Jupe in Robert Icke's new production of Shakespeare's most famous love story. Icke is one of the most exciting directors working in British theatre right now, known for bold, modern-feeling reinterpretations of classic texts. Previews begin 16 March 2026 at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Kinky Boots at the London Coliseum

The Tony Award-winning musical returns to the West End for the first time in years, this time at the London Coliseum. Strictly Come Dancing's Johannes Radebe makes his West End debut reprising the role of Lola, which he played on the UK and Ireland tour. With music by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots is the story of a struggling shoe factory owner who teams up with a drag performer to save his family business. Previews start in March 2026.

Inter Alia at the Duke of York's Theatre

Following a sold-out run at the National Theatre in 2025, Rosamund Pike returns in this drama from the creative team behind Prima Facie. Pike plays Jessica Parks, a crown court judge whose feminist principles are tested when her own family faces a crisis. This is Pike's first West End appearance in over 15 years, and the National Theatre run drew strong reviews.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry at the Theatre Royal Haymarket

Based on Rachel Joyce's bestselling novel, this new musical stars Mark Addy and Jenna Russell. It follows a retired man who sets off on an impromptu walk the length of England to visit a dying friend. The Theatre Royal Haymarket is one of London's oldest and most atmospheric venues, and the combination of a well-loved story with strong casting makes this one to watch.

Avenue Q at the Shaftesbury Theatre

The irreverent, adult-oriented puppet musical returns to the West End for the first time since 2010. Avenue Q follows a group of twenty-somethings (some human, some puppet) trying to find their purpose in New York City. With songs including "It Sucks to Be Me" and "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist," it is as sharp and funny as ever. This is a limited run at the Shaftesbury Theatre, opening 20 March 2026.

Beetlejuice at the Prince Edward Theatre

The Broadway hit finally makes it to London. Based on Tim Burton's cult 1988 film, Beetlejuice the Musical follows recently deceased couple Adam and Barbara Maitland as they try to scare away the new owners of their home, only to find themselves dealing with the chaos of the underworld's most annoying demon. Directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers with a score by Eddie Perfect, this lands at the Prince Edward Theatre from 20 May 2026.

All My Sons at the Old Vic

Bryan Cranston stars in a revival of Arthur Miller's 1946 play, directed by Ivo van Hove. Cranston plays Joe Keller, a self-made businessman whose wartime actions come back to haunt his family. The cast also includes Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu. The Old Vic production opens in March 2026.

How to Book

Spring is one of the busiest booking periods for the West End, and many of these productions are limited runs with major stars attached. If something catches your eye, book sooner rather than later.
