A major new production of Manuel Puig's ground-breaking novel Kiss Of The Spider Woman is to be presented at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 21 March to 5 May 2018.

This new adaptation is written by Jose Rivera and Allan Baker and will be directed by Laurie Samson making his Menier debut.

A provocative tale of love, victimisation, fantasy and the friendship that develops between two strikingly different men imprisoned together in a Latin American jail.

Manuel Puig (1932-1990) was an Argentinian playwright, novelist and screenwriter. His plays include Under a Mantle of Stars and A Play In Two Acts and his major novels include Betrayed by Rita Hayworth, Heartbreak Tango and The Buenos Aires Affair. Kiss Of The Spider Woman is produced by The Menier Chocolate Factory in association with Darren Bagert.
