Guest reviewer Sparky Backman Juliff reviews Para-Sights, staged as part of the Colchester Fringe Festival

Para Sights Three Wise Monkeys, Colchester Fringe Festival4 stars Colchester Fringe Website Communicating with the other side can be all fun and games until it becomes terrifyingly dangerous, 3 paranormal investigators found this out the hard way, (on live TV!). The three investigators have their own specialities, one is a spiritual Medium and has her own spiritual guide, the second one is a parapsychologist historian who can sometimes get carried away with his knowledge, the third one is a former children's TV presenter who loves being in front of the camera but doesn't really believe in the paranormal. This trio goes to explore the UK’s most haunted location for their newest episode and when unexpected events start to happen, the team assume it's just a joke…until things take a turn for the worst. Are they really alone or is there something more sinister lurking behind these ghostly events? This show is full of unpredictable turns, from spine-chilling possessions to perfectly timed humour. I was kept on the edge of my seat while also laughing my head off, the perfect combo!
