About the programme
Ingoma takes inspiration from the 1946 South African miners' strike. Boykin's commission marks the company's anniversary and her UK choreographic debut.
Twenty-five years of Ballet Black
Cassa Pancho founded Ballet Black in 2001 to create opportunities for Black and Asian ballet dancers. Commissioning new choreography has remained central to the company's work, giving artists a platform to develop distinctive stories and approaches to classical dance.
