About the show

Drew McOnie’s CATS brings Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical to regional theatres. Explore the production, songs and UK tour ticket options.

CATS tickets and regional UK dates

The Jellicle cats gather by moonlight, each hoping to be chosen, in Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS. This regional tour presents Drew McOnie's production of the musical based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, with Memory among the advertised songs.

Drew McOnie’s production

McOnie takes responsibility for both the direction and choreography. ATG lists Brigadoon and Jesus Christ Superstar among his previous credits. The production comes from Regent's Park Open Air Theatre and is presented by Michael Harrison through Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals.

Those credits identify the version being advertised on this tour. If you have seen CATS before, they are a useful starting point for distinguishing this production from an earlier staging; the familiar musical title does not establish that its creative team or presentation is the same.

Eliot’s cats and Lloyd Webber’s songs

Eliot's collection supplies the feline characters, while Lloyd Webber's music gives them a stage score. Alongside Memory, ATG names Old Deuteronomy, Macavity: The Mystery Cat and Jellicle Ball. The premise centres on the cats assembling and the question of which one will be selected.

Checking interpreted performances

The Bristol Hippodrome listing advertises BSL/English interpretation supplied by Complete Communication. Confirm the relevant performance when booking: the reference does not mean interpretation is available at every date or every theatre on the tour.
