Dog Man: The Musical is a 75-minute family musical based on Dav Pilkey's book series, touring UK theatres. Explore tickets and booking details.
Dog Man: The Musical is a family musical based on Dav Pilkey's bestselling book series, the creator of Captain Underpants and Cat Kid Comic Club. Ten-year-old best friends George and Harold attempt to stage their own musical about Dog Man, the crime-fighting hero who is part dog, part police officer, and entirely devoted to being a good boy.
George and Harold have spent years making comics together and have decided to graduate to something bigger: a full musical based on their favourite character. Dog Man patrols the city with a dog's head atop a policeman's body, fighting crime with enthusiasm while also finding time to chew the furniture.
The story puts Dog Man up against two threats at once. Flippy the cyborg fish is unleashing an army of Beasty Buildings on the city, while Petey, the world's most evil cat, has cloned himself to settle scores with the heroic hound. Running through all of this is whether George and Harold can finish writing the show before lunchtime.
The production runs for one hour and fifteen minutes. No interval information is stated in the ATG listing, so it is worth checking with your chosen venue when booking. The show is categorised as a family musical. No specific age guidance is listed in the sources.
