A society wedding becomes complicated by former lovers, new attractions and a reporter looking for a scandal. High Society turns that romantic confusion into a musical built around Cole Porter’s songs and the world of wealthy socialite Tracy Lord.
Songs and creative team
The score includes True Love, I Love Paris, Well, Did You Evah! and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? The musical has a book by Arthur Kopit, additional lyrics by Susan Birkenhead and is based on Philip Barry’s The Philadelphia Story. This production is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh with choreography by Anthony Van Laast.

Parking
The Alexandra has no car park of its own. The nearest public option is Apex Parking on St Judes Passage, roughly 200m away, which has chargeable Blue Badge bays. Q-Park Mailbox offers 50 per cent off when you pre-book through the theatre's Q-Park link; you must pre-book to qualify and terms and conditions apply. There is also street parking on Station Street with marked Blue Badge bays maintained by Birmingham City Council, measuring 210cm x 490cm (6ft 11in x 16ft 1in).
