I Tony Awards si sono conclusi anche quest’anno e i grandi vincitori sono Harry Potter e la Maledizione dell’Erede e The Band's Visit.

The Band's Visit, un musical che racconta di musicisti egiziani bloccati in una piccola cittadina israeliana, ha portato a casa 10 premi, tra cui Miglior nuovo musical.

Harry Potter e la Maledizione dell’Erede continua a essere un colosso internazionale, conquistando sei Tony Awards, tra cui Miglior nuova opera teatrale e Miglior regia di un’opera teatrale.

Andrew Garfield e Nathan Lane hanno entrambi vinto un Tony per le loro interpretazioni nella produzione del National Theatre di Angels in America.

Glenda Jackson, 82 anni, ha coronato un trionfale ritorno a Broadway dopo 30 anni con la vittoria del Tony come Miglior attrice protagonista in un’opera teatrale.

Robert De Niro ha mandato in visibilio il pubblico quando, in un attacco contro il Presidente Trump, ha pronunciato due volte la parola con la “F” mentre presentava Bruce Springsteen.
