이내 그녀는 메트로폴리탄 경찰과 보수당 대표에게까지 영향력과 권력을 쥐게 해줄 자리를 미끼로 협박을 일삼으며 올라선다.
리처드 ‘원 맨, 투 거브너스’ 빈의 숨 가쁘고 거침없는 신작은 언론과 경찰, 그리고 정치 기득권을 겨냥한 무정부주의적이고 입에 담기 거친 풍자의 소동극이다. 내셔널 시어터에서 찬사를 받은 뒤, 이제 웨스트엔드로 옮겨 간다.
레베카 브룩스의 실화와 닮은 점이 있다면 그저 우연일 뿐이지만, 그레이트 브리튼은 원 맨, 투 거브너스만큼이나 폭소를 자아내면서도, 동시대 사회를 향한 날카로운 통찰을 가득 담아 한층 더 깊이를 더한다. 연출은 니컬러스 하이트너가 맡는다.
