Jesus Christ Superstar is now live for its West End extension at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. The award-winning Regent's Park Open Air Theatre staging, which broke records at the London Palladium this summer, transfers for a limited season from 16 October 2026 to 9 January 2027.

Sam Ryder and Tyrone Huntley lead the company

Sam Ryder makes his West End debut as Jesus, with Tyrone Huntley returning as Judas for the Drury Lane run. Tim Sheader directs, with choreography by Olivier Award-winner Drew McOnie and design by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Tom Scutt. Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock score includes I Don't Know How to Love Him, Gethsemane and the title number Superstar.

On-stage standing tickets from £25

Producers have also released exclusive £25 on-stage standing tickets, recreating the immersive standing experience that was part of the Palladium season. Seated and standing options are now available through official partners.

From Regent's Park to the Palladium to Drury Lane

Tim Sheader's staging began life at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre before its record-breaking London Palladium summer. The Drury Lane season keeps the rock-concert energy of that staging inside one of the West End's grandest lyric houses, with Drew McOnie's choreography and Tom Scutt's design framing Rice and Lloyd Webber's score for a new generation of theatregoers as well as long-time fans.

The limited autumn-to-winter window, plus the return of on-stage standing places, makes this a different ticket to a conventional seated musical night. Standing tickets put audiences inside the spectacle; seated tickets suit anyone who wants the full auditorium view of Drury Lane's scale.

Should you book?

If you missed the sold-out Palladium run, Drury Lane is the next window before the production tours the UK from February 2027. See dates and live pricing on the Jesus Christ Superstar page and secure tickets while the limited West End season is open.
