What is And Juliet about?
& Juliet asks: what would happen if Shakespeare's Juliet did not die at the end of Romeo and Juliet? In this joyful reimagining, Juliet ditches her famous ending, heads to Paris, and begins writing her own story. The show uses the hit songs of legendary songwriter Max Martin (who wrote for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd) to tell a story about second chances, self-discovery, and choosing your own path.
Why see And Juliet?
The song catalogue is extraordinary. Since I Don't Have You, Roar, Baby One More Time, Larger Than Life, That's the Way It Is, It's My Life, and Can't Stop the Feeling are just a few of the hits woven seamlessly into the narrative. What makes & Juliet special is that these songs are not simply performed in sequence: they genuinely serve the story and the characters. The production is vibrant, inclusive, colourful, and unashamedly celebratory. The energy in the theatre is unlike almost any other show in the West End.
