Paranormal Activity has extended its West End run at the Ambassadors Theatre for a sixth time, and the stage thriller is now booking until Saturday 27 February 2027. Melting Pot, which produces the show, confirmed the new dates on 6 October, moving the closing date of its second London season from 2 January to 27 February 2027. Paranormal Activity tickets are on sale now on British Theatre right through to the closing performance in February.

There is a small change to the weekly schedule in the new year. From the week commencing 4 January 2027, the weekday matinee moves to Thursdays at 2.30pm.

Who is in the cast?

Ty Fanning plays James. He has appeared on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in Othello opposite Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Ami Okumura Jones plays Lou. Her credits include My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican and the Netflix political drama Hostage.

Kirsty Bushell, known to television viewers from the BBC comedy Motherland and to theatregoers from King Lear at Chichester Festival Theatre, is Etheline Cotgrave. Pippa Winslow completes the cast as Carolanne, the role she played at Leeds Playhouse and in the original West End season.

What is Paranormal Activity about?

James and Lou leave Chicago for London in the hope of putting a troubled past behind them. Their new home soon starts to suggest otherwise, as strange sounds, shifting shadows and unexplained happenings build towards a chilling realisation: places are not haunted, people are.

The play is a new story inspired by the horror film series that began with Oren Peli’s 2009 original, released by Paramount Pictures and brought to the screen by Blumhouse and Solana Films. Levi Holloway, whose thriller Grey House played on Broadway, wrote the script, and Felix Barrett, founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk, directs. Fly Davis designs the set and costumes, Chris Fisher creates the illusions, Anna Watson designs the lighting, Gareth Fry the sound and Luke Halls the video.

The show is recommended for ages 15 and over, with moments of high tension and strong language. It runs for 2 hours and 20 minutes including an interval, and there is no entry for latecomers.

From Leeds to Broadway

Paranormal Activity started out at Leeds Playhouse before transferring to the Ambassadors, where it originally played from 5 December 2025 to 25 April 2026. It then crossed the Atlantic for a North American tour that took in Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington DC, San Francisco, Toronto and Boston, ahead of a 20-week Broadway season at the August Wilson Theatre that opened on 14 August 2026. A separate UK and Ireland tour opened at Richmond Theatre in early September.

The latest London extension follows the fifth, which we reported in September when the run was extended into early January. You can read that story in our earlier report, Paranormal Activity extends its West End run as Broadway and the UK tour open.

Dates, venue and tickets

Paranormal Activity is playing at the Ambassadors Theatre on West Street, beside St Martin’s Theatre in the heart of the West End. Opened in 1913, it is among the smallest theatres in the West End, with just over 400 seats, which keeps every creak and shadow uncomfortably close. Read more on our Ambassadors Theatre page.

British Theatre has performances on sale from now until the closing date of 27 February 2027. See Paranormal Activity dates and tickets.
