Lucille Lortel Awards 2020, wyróżniające produkcje Off-Broadwayowskie, zostały ogłoszone 3 maja 2020 roku. Nagrody za skrócony sezon 2019-20 poprowadził Mario Cantone (nadając ze swojego mieszkania w Nowym Jorku), a dochód z gali wsparł fundację Actors Fund i jej działania na rzecz osób dotkniętych kryzysem COVID-19. Tegoroczne nagrody objęły 101 kwalifikujących się produkcji (55 sztuk teatralnych, 19 musicali oraz 19 wznowień), z czego 41 spektakli otrzymało łącznie 95 nominacji. Liderami wieczoru z trzema statuetkami każdy zostały: produkcja Signature Theatre musical Dave’a Malloya Octet oraz produkcja Playwrights Horizons sztuka Willa Arbery’ego Heroes of the Fourth Turning — oba tytuły to światowe premiery, które zdobyły odpowiednio nagrody dla najlepszego musicalu i najlepszej sztuki. Produkcja Playwrights’ A Strange Loop autorstwa Michaela R. Jacksona, spektakl Vineyard’s Dana H. Lucasa Hnatha oraz wznowienie The Public Theater for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf autorstwa Ntozake Shange zdobyły po dwie nagrody. To była ceremonia inna niż wszystkie, a w roli współprowadzących ze swoich miejsc izolacji wystąpili m.in. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Condola Rashad, Jelani Alladin, Daryl Roth oraz Lin-Manuel Miranda.
