Percy Jackson Takes the Stage in Electrifying UK Tour

New production images have been released for the highly anticipated UK tour of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, now bringing mythological mayhem to audiences across the country through 2026.

Based on the bestselling novel by Rick Riordan, this dynamic musical adaptation has launched its first ever UK tour, kicking off at Theatre Royal Windsor before heading to theatres across England, Scotland and Wales.

A Heroic Cast

The show stars Vasco Emauz (Back to the Future: The Musical) as demigod-in-training Percy Jackson, alongside Kayna Montecillo (Starlight Express) as Annabeth and Cahir O’Neill ([title of show]) as Grover. The cast also features:

  • Simone Robinson as Sally Jackson

  • Niall Sheehy as Mr Bruner

  • Aidan Cutler as Mr D

  • Ellie-Grace Cousins as Clarisse

  • Ensemble: Alex Anderton, Abe Armitage, Joseph Connor, Ellouise Delooze, Becca Francis, Amy McEvoy

A Mythic Adventure with a Modern Edge

With a book by Joe Tracz (Be More Chill) and music and lyrics by Rob Rokicki (Monstersongs), The Lightning Thief blends humour, heart, and high-octane storytelling into a contemporary coming-of-age tale.

When troubled teen Percy Jackson discovers he’s the son of Poseidon, he’s thrown into a world of gods, monsters, and destiny. With the fate of the world at stake, Percy and his friends must embark on a quest like no other—a journey of identity, courage, and friendship.

The production is directed and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day), with a creative team that includes:

  • Set & Costume Design: Ryan Dawson Laight

  • Lighting Design: Tim Deiling

  • Sound Design: Dan Samson

  • Video Design: Matt Powell

  • Musical Supervision: Jeremy Wootton

  • Musical Direction: Will Joy

  • Illusions: Richard Pinner
