Andrew Lloyd Webber’s High-Octane Musical Races Ahead at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s spectacular roller-skating musical Starlight Express continues its triumphant London run with a sixth extension, now booking through to April 2026 at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.
Produced by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, the production has played to packed houses since opening, delivering an immersive theatrical experience that has captured the imaginations of over 30 million people worldwide.
A Beloved Classic Reimagined for a New Generation
Set inside a child’s dream, Starlight Express follows Rusty, a steam train who hopes to win a race to determine the world’s fastest engine. As dreams and legends collide on the track, the story unfolds through thrilling choreography, elaborate costumes, and soaring songs including “AC/DC,” “Make Up My Heart,” “Light at the End of the Tunnel,” and the iconic title number “Starlight Express.”
This new London staging features dazzling direction by Luke Sheppard, with choreography by Ashley Nottingham and creative dramaturgy by Arlene Phillips. The cast of 40 whizz around the auditorium in a fully immersive staging that places the audience at the heart of the race.

In addition to the extended run, Hal Leonard has published a brand-new piano/vocal songbook featuring 17 songs from the current production, including two never-before-published tracks: “I Do” and “I Am Me.” The release also includes fan favourites like “Crazy,” “Pumping Iron,” and “Make Up My Heart.”
