Olivier Awards 2018 – vinderne

Olivier Awards 2018 løb af stablen i går aftes i Royal Albert Hall, hvor Hamilton og The Ferryman var blandt nattens helt store vindere.

Jamael Westman som Alexander Hamilton med West End-ensemblet fra Hamilton

Lin-Manuel Mirandas Hamilton blev den store triumfator ved gårsdagens Olivier Awards og løb ikke blot med den eftertragtede pris for Best New Musical, men også Best Actor in a Musical (Giles Terera), Best Supporting Actor In A Musical (Michael Jibson), Best Lighting Design, Best Sound Design, Best Choreography og Outstanding Achievement in Music.

Jez Butterworths skuespil The Ferryman vandt Best New Play og Best Director til Sam Mendes, sammen med prisen for Best Actress in a Play (Laura Donnelly).

Bryan Cranston modtog prisen for Best Actor in a Play for sin rolle i Network på National Theatre. Bertie Carvel vandt Best Supporting Actor in a Play for James Grahams Ink, som lige nu spiller på Gielgud Theatre før turen går til Broadway. James Grahams Labour Of Love fik prisen for Best New Comedy.

Udover Bryan Cranstons sejr vandt National Theatre-produktioner fem priser, herunder Best Supporting Actress (Denise Gough), Best Costume Design (Follies - Vicki Mortimer), Best Musical Revival - Follies og Best Play Revival - Angels in America.

Sheila Atim og Shirley Henderson fra The Girl From The North Country vandt begge priser for deres præstationer. Musicalen, som havde premiere på Old Vic, spiller nu på Noel Coward Theatre.
