תיאטרון סונדהיים הוא אולם תיאטרון בלונדון שמופיע ב-British Theatre. גלו הצגות קרובות, מידע מעשי על המקום ותובנות להזמנת כרטיסים לפני הביקור.

תיאטרון סונדהיים (שנודע בעבר כתיאטרון קווינס) נפתח ב־8 באוקטובר 1907. ההצגה הראשונה שעלתה בו, קומדיה בשם Sugar Bowl, ירדה אחרי 36 הופעות, וגם ההפקות שבאו אחריה לא זכו להצלחה. התיאטרון החליף בעלים ב־1909, ורק ב־1914 רשם להיט גדול עם Potash and Perlmutter. בשנות ה־20 הועלו בו הפקות שעוררו מחלוקת, ובהן The Fanatics ו־The Trial of Mary Dugan (שבמסגרתה הותאם חלל התיאטרון כך שייראה כמו בית משפט), וכן הופעת הבכורה של ג׳ון מילס בווסט אנד בתפקיד המלט. התיאטרון המשיך להעלות הפקות מצליחות (ובהן עונת הצגות שהוצגה בהובלת ג׳ון גילגוד בשנת 1937) עד שספג פגיעה ישירה במהלך הפצצה גרמנית ב־1940. אזורי הכניסה והמבואות נהרסו לחלוטין, והתיאטרון נותר סגור עד לשיקומו כעבור 20 שנה. בשנות ה־60 וה־70 הועלו בו הפקות רבות שנחרתו בזיכרון, בהן A Suite of Three Keys (הופעתו האחרונה של נואל קאוורד על הבמה), ההפקה האירופית הראשונה של The Odd Couple, וכן The Card, The Old Country ו־The Dresser. בשנת 1982 עברה לתיאטרון ההפקה Another Country, שבה השתתף צוות שכלל (בשלבים שונים של ההרצה) את קנת בראנה, דניאל דיי־לואיס, קולין פירת׳ ורופרט אוורט. התיאטרון מארח את Les Misérables מאז 2004, לאחר שהמחזמר עבר אליו מתיאטרון פאלאס בתום הרצה של 18 שנים. ב־2019 עבר Les Misérables כמה דלתות משם לתיאטרון גילגוד בגרסת קונצרט כוכבים, כדי לאפשר ביצוע עבודות שיפוץ בתיאטרון. באותה עת הודיעה דלפונט מקינטוש (בעלי התיאטרון) כי התיאטרון ייקרא מחדש תיאטרון סונדהיים, כמחווה למלחין הברודוויי האגדי סטיבן סונדהיים. הפקה חדשה לגמרי של Les Misérables נפתחה בדצמבר 2019 והחליפה את הפקת ה־RSC המקורית, עטורת הפרסים, של טרוור נאן וג׳ון קיירד.

המחזמר הוותיק ביותר בעולם ממשיך לרגש נשמות בתיאטרון סונדהיים. ההפקה האגדית של קמרון מקינטוש ל"עלובי החיים" מציגה את הסיפור האפי של ויקטור הוגו על אהבה, הקרבה וגאולה, עם שירים איקוניים כמו 'חלמתי חלום', 'אני לבד' ו'יום אחד נוסף'.

The Sondheim Theatre (formerly The Queen’s Theatre) opened on 8 October 1907. Its inaugural play, a comedy entitled Sugar Bowl, closed after 36 performances and follow-up shows faired equally poorly. The theatre changed hands in 1909 and finally had a big hit in 1914 with Potash and Perlmutter. The 1920s brought controversial productions of The Fanatics and The Trial of Mary Dugan (where the theatre was altered to look like a courthouse), as well as John Mills’ West End debut playing Hamlet.

The theatre continued to put on successful productions (including a season of plays presented by John Gielgud in 1937) until it received a direct hit during a German bombing raid in 1940. The lobby areas were completely destroyed, and the theatre remained closed until its restoration 20 years later.

The 1960s and 1970s brought many memorable productions, including A Suite of Three Keys (Noel Coward’s final stage appearance), the first European production of The Odd Couple, The Card, The Old Country and The Dresser. 1982 brought the transfer of Another Country, which featured a cast that included (at various points in its run) Kenneth Branagh, Daniel Day-Lewis, Colin Firth, and Rupert Everett.

The theatre has hosted Les Miserable since 2004, after it transferred from the Palace Theatre following an 18-year run. In 2019, Les Miserables moved a few doors down to the Gielgud Theatre in an all-star concert version so that renovations on the theatre could be carried out. At that time it was announced by Delfont Mackintosh (the theatre's owners) that the theatre would be re-named the Sondheim Theatre in honour of legendary Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim).

An all-new production of Les Miserables opened in December 2019 replacing Trevor Nunn and John Caird's award-winning original RSC production.
