Pride and Prejudice (Sort of) é a reinvenção única e ousada de Isobel McArthur do clássico romance de Jane Austen, aclamada pela crítica quando esteve em cena no Tron Theatre, em Glasgow.  Nesta adaptação irreverente, mas carinhosa, disputam-se homens, dinheiro e microfones, e o espetáculo inclui clássicos pop como Every Day I Write the Book, Young Hearts Run Free, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, I Got You Babe e You’re So Vain.  Cinco atrizes interpretam as jovens criadas que recontam uma das histórias mais famosas da literatura — e são essas mesmas cinco atrizes que dão vida a todas as restantes personagens, além de cantarem e tocarem instrumentos. Foto: Tony McGee David Pugh disse, quando o espetáculo foi anunciado: “Queria mesmo trazer Pride & Prejudice* (*sort of) para o cintilante West End de Londres.  Queria colocá-lo no teatro perfeito, que é o Criterion Theatre, e só o abriria como um dos primeiros NOVOS espetáculos em Londres onde cada lugar pudesse ser ocupado.”  Para ele, é fundamental que, ao “convidar o público a regressar ao teatro”, este se sinta em segurança e, tão importante quanto isso, que os bilhetes sejam acessíveis.
