Heathers The Musical is back in the West End, and it is opening London's newest theatre while it is at it. After record-breaking runs in London, New York and Melbourne, the cult favourite returns for a strictly limited summer season at the Arts at Marble Arch from 9 July to 22 August 2026, with a brand new London cast and a press performance on 13 July. Here is everything you need to know about the production, the cast and how to book.

What is Heathers The Musical?

Based on the iconic 1989 cult film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers is a darkly funny, big-hearted rock musical set at the fictional Westerberg High. Veronica Sawyer is a nobody dreaming of a better day until she is taken under the wing of the three beautiful and impossibly cruel Heathers. Then the mysterious teen rebel JD arrives and teaches her that it might kill to be a nobody, but it is murder being a somebody. Reimagined for its 2018 London debut with new songs and an updated script, it won the 2019 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical and was filmed for streaming in 2022.

It is serving as the Arts Theatre's temporary home while that building undergoes a major upgrade, so this is a rare chance to see a West End show in a brand new space.
