Critically Acclaimed Improvised Whodunnit Adds Three New Dates at the Duchess Theatre
After a sell-out debut earlier this year, the improvised comedy Murder, She Didn’t Write will return to the Duchess Theatre in London’s West End for three additional performances in 2025. Created and performed by renowned improv company Degrees of Error, the show will play on Monday 21 July, Monday 29 September, and Monday 24 November.
The show has been a perennial hit at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has toured extensively across the UK. These new West End dates follow glowing reviews and audience demand from its first run in London.
A Murder Mystery Written Live—By the Audience
Murder, She Didn’t Write is an entirely improvised Agatha Christie-inspired murder mystery, created in real time from audience suggestions. Each night, the audience becomes the author, deciding who the victim and murderer are, while the cast weaves a hilarious and unpredictable whodunnit filled with twists, tropes and over-the-top characters.
Scenarios in previous shows have included poisonings at synchronised swimming galas and murders at Love Island-style recouplings—no two performances are ever the same. With sharp wit and improv mastery, the cast creates a fresh narrative every night, resulting in a truly unique theatrical experience.

The rotating cast for 2025 includes:
Lizzy Skrzypiec (also Director; The Wheel, Bridge of Lies)

West End Success and Audience Praise
Degrees of Error was founded in 2010 and is the resident improv company at the Bristol Improv Theatre, the UK’s first dedicated venue for improvised performance. Over more than a decade, the group has developed a devoted following and is now taking its signature production to a wider audience through this extended West End run.
Director Lizzy Skrzypiec commented:
“It’s been a joy performing on the West End. We’ve been blown away by the response and are thrilled to bring the show back for more chaos and crime.”
