Premi Tony 2017 - I Nominati

È di nuovo quel periodo dell’anno: oggi (3 maggio 2017) sono state annunciate le candidature ai Tony Awards 2017.

A guidare il gruppo è Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, una pop opera basata su un piccolo estratto di Guerra e pace di Tolstoj, con Josh Groban protagonista. Con dieci candidature, Hello Dolly! del leggendario compositore di Broadway Jerry Herman torna in scena con Bette Midler e David Hyde Pierce. Dopo la vittoria agli Olivier Awards 2017, Groundhog Day è di nuovo in corsa per il premio di Miglior Musical insieme a The Great Comet, Dear Evan Hansen e Come From Away. Nella categoria Miglior Opera Teatrale (Best Play) abbondano i debutti a Broadway: quattro autori americani vi fanno la loro prima apparizione, tra cui A Doll's House - Part 2 di Lucas Hnath, Sweat di Lynn Nottage, Oslo di J T Rogers e Indecent di Paula Vogel.

I Tony Awards di quest’anno si terranno al Radio City Music Hall domenica 11 giugno 2017 alle 20:00 (EST), con la conduzione di Kevin Spacey.
