Nagrody Tony 2017: Poznaj grono nominowanych

Nadszedł ten moment w roku – dziś (3 maja 2017 r.) ogłoszono nominacje do nagród Tony Awards 2017.

Faworytem tegorocznej edycji jest Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, pop-opera oparta na fragmencie „Wojny i pokoju” Tołstoja, w której główną rolę gra Josh Groban. Dziesięć nominacji zdobyło wznowienie musicalu Hello Dolly! legendarnego broadwayowskiego kompozytora Jerry'ego Hermana, z udziałem Bette Midler i Davida Hyde'a Pierce'a. Po sukcesie na gali Olivier Awards 2017, Groundhog Day ponownie walczy o tytuł Najlepszego Musicalu wraz z produkcjami The Great Comet, Dear Evan Hansen oraz Come From Away. Kategoria Najlepsza Sztuka obfituje w broadwayowskie debiuty – czterech amerykańskich autorów po raz pierwszy prezentuje swoje dzieła na wielkiej scenie: Lucas Hnath z A Doll's House - Part 2, Lynn Nottage ze „Sweat”, J.T. Rogers z „Oslo” oraz Paula Vogel z Indecent.

Gala rozdania nagród Tony odbędzie się w niedzielę 11 czerwca 2017 r. o godzinie 20:00 czasu wschodniego (EST) w Radio City Music Hall, a gospodarzem wieczoru będzie Kevin Spacey.
