Tony Awards 2017 - Os Nomeados

Chegou novamente aquela altura do ano: as nomeações para os Tony Awards 2017 foram anunciadas hoje (3 de maio de 2017).

A liderar a lista está Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, uma ópera pop baseada num pequeno excerto de Guerra e Paz, de Tolstói, protagonizada por Josh Groban. Com dez nomeações, Hello Dolly! do lendário compositor da Broadway Jerry Herman regressa com Bette Midler e David Hyde Pierce. Depois da sua vitória nos Olivier Awards 2017, Groundhog Day volta a estar nomeado para Melhor Musical, ao lado de The Great Comet, Dear Evan Hansen e Come From Away. Na categoria de Melhor Peça, há muitas estreias na Broadway, com quatro dramaturgos norte-americanos a fazerem a sua primeira aparição, incluindo A Doll's House - Part 2, de Lucas Hnath, Sweat, de Lynn Nottage, Oslo, de J T Rogers, e Indecent, de Paula Vogel.

Os Tony Awards deste ano terão lugar no Radio City Music Hall, no domingo, 11 de junho de 2017, às 20h (EST), com apresentação de Kevin Spacey.
