Brighton Fringe offentliggør vinderne af priserne for 2017

Brighton Little Theatre's opsætning af Urinetown

De mest bemærkelsesværdige forestillinger og talenter fra årets Brighton Fringe er blevet hyldet ved festivalens årlige prisuddeling.

Blandt de 24 priser, der blev uddelt, var vinderne blandt andre The Brighton Little Theatre Companys opsætning af musicalen Urinetown (billedet), Ditto Theatre Companys Ingo’s War, Broken Silence Theatres Bug Camp af Paul Macauley og Windmill Young Actors’ opsætning af Steven Berkoffs Agamemnon.

Børneforestillingen The Tale of the Cockatrice af Mumblecrust Theatre løb med hele to priser – Voice’s Best Newcomer to Brighton Fringe og International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF): Best of Brighton Fringe Children and Family Show.

Blandt de øvrige vindere er Cinebra: A History of Horror, som modtog 2.500 pund til en turné på en international Fringe-festival som en del af Pebble Trust International Touring Award.

Teatro Pomodoro fandt også vej til de internationale scener. Kompagniet, som var en del af Brighton Fringes program for exceptionelle nye værker, er blevet udvalgt til at gæste to Fringe-festivaler i det "nordiske netværk", som næste år tæller Bergen, Gøteborg, Reykjavik og Stockholm.
