Brighton Fringe: Poznaj zwycięzców nagród edycji 2017

Produkcja „Urinetown” w wykonaniu Brighton Little Theatre

Podczas dorocznej ceremonii wręczenia nagród ogłoszono zestawienie najlepszych spektakli i wykonawców tegorocznej edycji festiwalu Brighton Fringe.

Wśród 24 laureatów znaleźli się m.in. zespół The Brighton Little Theatre Company za produkcję musicalu „Urinetown” (na zdjęciu), Ditto Theatre Company za „Ingo’s War”, Broken Silence Theatre za „Bug Camp” autorstwa Paula Macauleya oraz Windmill Young Actors za inscenizację „Agamemnona” Stevena Berkoffa.

Przedstawienie dla dzieci „The Tale of the Cockatrice” wystawiane przez Mumblecrust Theatre zgarnęło dwie statuetki – Voice’s Best Newcomer to Brighton Fringe (Najlepszy debiutant) oraz nagrodę International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF) dla najlepszego spektaklu familijnego.

Innym triumfatorem był spektakl „Cinebra: A History of Horror”, który otrzymał grant w wysokości 2500 funtów na trasę po międzynarodowych festiwalach typu Fringe w ramach nagrody Pebble Trust International Touring Award.

Teatro Pomodoro również otrzymało szansę na występy zagraniczne. Zespół, który brał udział w programie Brighton Fringe Window promującym wyjątkowe nowe dzieła, został wybrany do udziału w dwóch festiwalach w ramach sieci „Nordic network”, obejmującej w przyszłym roku Bergen, Göteborg, Reykjavik i Sztokholm.
