Brighton Fringe anuncia vencedores dos prêmios de 2017

A produção de Urinetown do Brighton Little Theatre

Foram anunciados, nos prémios anuais do festival, os espetáculos e intérpretes em destaque desta edição do Brighton Fringe.

Entre os 24 prémios atribuídos, os vencedores incluíram a produção do musical Urinetown (na foto) da Brighton Little Theatre Company, Ingo’s War da Ditto Theatre Company, Bug Camp da Broken Silence Theatre, de Paul Macauley, e a produção de Agamemnon, de Steven Berkoff, pelos Windmill Young Actors.

O espetáculo infantil The Tale of the Cockatrice da Mumblecrust Theatre arrebatou dois prémios – Voice’s Best Newcomer to Brighton Fringe e International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF): Best of Brighton Fringe Children and Family Show.

Outros vencedores incluem Cinebra: A History of Horror, que ganhou £2.500 para realizar uma digressão por um Fringe internacional, no âmbito do Pebble Trust International Touring Award.

O Teatro Pomodoro também ganhou a oportunidade de fazer digressão no estrangeiro. A companhia, que integrou o programa Brighton Fringe Window dedicado a novo trabalho de exceção, foi selecionada para fazer digressão por dois Fringes da “rede nórdica” de Bergen, Gothenburg, Reykjavik e Stockholm no próximo ano.
