Brighton Fringe har presenterat vinnarna av 2017 års utmärkelser

Brighton Little Theatre:s uppsättning av Urinetown

De mest framstående föreställningarna och profilerna från årets Brighton Fringe har nu korats i festivalens årliga prisutdelning.

Bland de 24 priser som delades ut återfanns vinnare som Brighton Little Theatre Companys uppsättning av musikalen Urinetown (bilden), Ditto Theatre Companys Ingo’s War, Broken Silence Theatres Bug Camp av Paul Macauley och Windmill Young Actors uppsättning av Steven Berkoffs Agamemnon.

Barnföreställningen The Tale of the Cockatrice av Mumblecrust Theatre kammade hem två priser – Voice’s Best Newcomer to Brighton Fringe och International Youth Arts Festival (IYAF): Best of Brighton Fringe Children and Family Show.

Bland övriga vinnare märks Cinebra: A History of Horror, som tilldelades 2 500 pund för att turnera till en internationell Fringe-festival som en del av Pebble Trust International Touring Award.

Teatro Pomodoro vann också möjligheten att turnera utomlands. Kompaniet, som ingick i Brighton Fringe Window-programmet för exceptionella nya verk, har valts ut för att turnera till två Fringe-festivaler i det ”nordiska nätverket” i Bergen, Göteborg, Reykjavik och Stockholm nästa år.
