The Globe’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a joyously unsubtle production of one of Shakespeare’s comic classics. Whilst some of its quirks will bother the purist, it is beautifully silly and hugely entertaining.

Experience the enchantment of Shakespeare's timeless comedy, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," in a captivating West End production that intertwines love, magic, and mischief.
Shakespeare's most enchanting comedy weaves together three storylines: four young Athenian lovers fleeing into the forest, a troupe of amateur actors rehearsing a play, and the feuding fairy king and queen whose magical meddling creates chaos for everyone involved. Love potions go awry, identities blur, and the boundary between dream and reality dissolves in a woodland where anything seems possible.
This production at the Bridge Theatre reimagines Shakespeare's comedy for contemporary audiences. The Bridge has established itself as one of London's most exciting venues for bold Shakespeare productions, and A Midsummer Night's Dream is among the Bard's most accessible plays: the language is playful rather than dense, the comedy is physical and visual, and the story of love's absurdity is universal. Even if you have never seen a Shakespeare play, this is a wonderful place to start.
A Midsummer Night's Dream plays at the Bridge Theatre near Tower Bridge. The running time is approximately two hours. The play is suitable for teenagers and adults, and confident older children who enjoy theatre. The Bridge Theatre is located beside Tower Bridge, a short walk from London Bridge tube station, with stunning views of the Thames.
