The Curious Incident og Hamilton blev de store vindere ved Drama Desk Awards

National Theatres produktion af forestillingen har vundet seks Drama Desk Awards, herunder for bedste skuespil, bedste mandlige hovedrolle og bedste instruktion. De blev kun overgået af Hamilton, den nye musical af Lin-Manuel Miranda, som løb med syv priser – det er første gang siden 1983, at en Off-Broadway forestilling (Little Shop Of Horrors) har slået sine Broadway-konkurrenter. Helen Mirren vandt for bedste kvindelige hovedrolle i et skuespil for sin præstation i The Audience. Jim Dales onemanshow Just Jim Dale, som i øjeblikket spiller i London, vandt prisen for bedste revy.

Drama Desk Awards uddeles årligt inden for en række kategorier og er de eneste store teaterpriser i New York, hvor produktioner fra Broadway, Off-Broadway og Off-Off Broadway dyster mod hinanden i de samme kategorier. Organisationen blev stiftet i 1949 af en gruppe teaterkritikere, redaktører og journalister fra New York med det formål at højne bevidstheden om vigtige emner inden for teatret.
