Nominasjonene til Tony-prisene 2018 er klare

Den fullstendige listen over nominasjoner til Tony Awards 2018 ble kunngjort i dag tidlig, med musikalen SpongeBob SquarePants og Mean Girls i spissen – i et år hvor en rekke nominasjoner gikk til britiske skuespillere og produksjoner.

Tony Awards-seremonien den 10. juni vil bli ledet av Sara Bareilles og Josh Groban.

Sett med britiske øyne ble det en suksesskveld for National Theatres oppsetning av Angels In America, som hanket inn hele 11 nominasjoner (flest i Tonys historie for et teaterstykke), mens storsuksessen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child sikret seg ti nominasjoner.

Den britiske musikalkometen Gavin Lee ble nominert i kategorien beste mannlige hovedrolle i en musikal.
