Công bố danh sách đề cử giải thưởng Drama Desk 2019

Danh sách đề cử giải Drama Desk Awards 2019 vừa chính thức được công bố, với vở nhạc kịch Oklahoma! dẫn đầu đường đua khi sở hữu tới 12 đề cử.

Ảnh: Cory Weaver. Giải Drama Desk Awards vinh danh các tác phẩm trình diễn tại Broadway, Off-Broadway và cả Off-Off Broadway. Lễ trao giải năm nay sẽ được tổ chức tại Tòa nhà Thị chính (The Town Hall), New York vào ngày 2 tháng 6 năm 2019.

Theo sát Oklahoma! là các tác phẩm Tootsie và Rags Parkland Sings the Songs of the Future với 11 đề cử cho mỗi vở.

Các vở diễn như Hadestown, Torch Song, và Choir Boy – vốn đã có các đợt công diễn tại Off-Broadway trong các mùa trước – chỉ đủ điều kiện tranh giải ở những hạng mục mà hội đồng giám khảo đánh giá là có những sáng tạo mới.

Riêng các tác phẩm Be More Chill, What the Constitution Means To Me, Oklahoma! và The New One đều có các đợt diễn tại cả Off-Broadway và Broadway trong cùng một mùa, do đó cả hai phiên bản đều được xem xét chung để đưa ra đề cử.

Hội đồng bình chọn của Drama Desk Awards bao gồm các nhà phê bình sân khấu, nhà báo, biên tập viên, nhà xuất bản và các đơn vị truyền thông uy tín.
